The study also showed that despite this high demand for active cooling, manufacturers are challenged to find a balance between effective cooling solutions and the demand for compact and lightweight designs that do not compromise the aesthetics or portability of smartphones. REDMAGIC’s Been On This Airwave
Now, the concept of air cooling is no new feat for REDMAGIC, in fact, one of our very first devices - the REDMAGIC 3 Series - debuted as the first gaming smartphone with an active built-in cooling fan. Looking back at the history of our cooling expertise, we’ve definitely come a long way since then. From larger vapor chambers, graphene layering, and pioneering liquid cooling systems, we’ve excelled in setting a new standard for mobile cooling technology.
While our 11 Pro launch boasted the industry’s first mass-produced liquid-cooled system, we opted to go back to basics when it came to our new 11 Air debut. Striking a remarkable balance between performance and accessibility, the 11 Air was crafted to be lighter than its older sister, offering a unique, compact, and affordable option without compromising performance.
One of the main elements of our Air range has always been space-saving designs. While most manufacturers see a slim frame as an excuse to cut back on features, we took it as a challenge to ensure optimal performance despite the smaller playing field. The 11 Air comes with a high-performance Snapdragon 8 Elite processor that joins forces with our very own RedCore R4 gaming chip to ensure seamless, fast gameplay and multitasking.
However, the cooling system is what we want to really get into today. The 11 Air features our slim yet powerful REDMAGIC ICE cooling system, which combines Active Airflow and an optimized vapor chamber design for stable, high-performance gaming. Despite its sleek look, the 11 Air packs a punch when it comes to cooling, easily fitting a 24,000 RPM high-speed turbo fan into the phone to keep your game icy.
The 11 Air cooling system also comes armed with a massive and extra-thick vapor chamber with a tier-structured design that works alongside a multi-dimensional heat spread and patented cooling technology built for high-performance chips to ensure 40% better heat distribution and 40% more vapor space, quickly dispersing heat to prevent hotspots and performance dips.
The device also uses Graphene Copper foil under the screen, thermal conductive gel, an Aerospace-grade Aluminum air-cooling bracket, and Graphene composite material. This rapidly spreads heat and efficiently optimizes thermal flow when combined with the precision-engineered layout and active fan system.
This entire cooling setup was intelligently designed to manage heat across the CPU and GPU, ensuring sustained flagship-level performance during extended gaming sessions, all while maintaining the device’s slim profile. The “heat conduction + active cooling” synergy keeps the SoC core temperature stable, ensuring smooth performance and comfortable gaming, even during long, high-intensity sessions.

Ultimately, REDMAGIC has engineered the 11 Air with our signature turbo fan cooling design to maintain the sleek frame we’re using while keeping the high-quality cooling power that our fans are used to. While it may have seemed like a natural route to go for more liquid cooling after the breakthrough of the 11 Pro, we understand that designs don’t need to be jarring to be effective.
